This week saw several changes in Cadet NCOs at 750 (Thorne) Squadron with two being promoted, others being given an acting NCO role, and some cadets leaving to progress their careers.
Congratulations to Staff Cadet Sergeant Peter Kelly (below left) on his promotion to Flight Sergeant, and to Staff Cadet Corporal Chris Smith (below right) on his promotion to Sergeant.

Sergeant Smith stated that he "had never been so shocked and surprised in his life", while Flight Sergeant Kelly added that he too was "absolutely shocked".
There have also been several Cadets leave this month to pursue their careers. Best wishes go to Kerry Slade and Jake Hepworth.
Corporal Hepworth thanked the Air Training Corps by saying:
"Thanks so much for giving me the opportunities many would pay hundreds for. It's been a real pleasure to serve as a member of the ATC and becoming a JNCO. I have had the time of my life and it's an experience I would recommend to anyone wanting to develop themselves and discover who they really are.
"My advice to the younger cadets is to get the most you can out of the ATC because one day you'll look back and wish you'd done more. Keep your team close and work together and you can accomplish anything.
"Thank you so much for the memories. I have left the organisation to lead my future in the music industry and thanks to the ATC I have the confidence and the determination to take on such things."
As a result of the promotions and leavers, there are now positions for new NCOs. These are, and will be filled from existing cadets who have shown great promise, and who will be given the opportunity initially in an acting role. If successful, their positions will be made official.
