On 2 February, 750 (Thorne) Squadron was inspected and audited by the regional health and safety advisor on it's management of health and safety at the Cadet Centre, and during it's activities.
We are pleased to announce that it has been confirmed that we have received a Gold Star rating - the highest we can get.

Thorne Air Cadets take the health and safety of cadets, staff and others extremely seriously at all times, and this rating shows that. Achievement of a ‘gold’ star identifies that a Squadron has an appropriate level, of the health and safety fundamentals in place.
In a message to the Squadron, the Wing Health and Safety Co-ordinator, Flt Lt Iain Kirk said "Congratulations on achieving your Gold Star Rating, a fantastic result - keep up the good work and high safety standards."
Squadron Health and Safety Co-ordinator CI Kevin Heywood (pictured above receiving the award from Wing Commanding Officer Brian Daniel) stated that the award "was due to the hard work and diligence of staff and cadets at 750 Squadron, and that this will continue in the future."
